Whether you are expecting your first, or adding to your growing family, this retreat will cover essential topics including birth preparation, advocacy/autonomy and tips for working with your team, comfort and coping strategies during labor, how to navigate the important ‘4th trimester’ with confidence and care, and breastfeeding basics. This immersive experience will provide you with practical tools, emotional support, and expert guidance to help you feel empowered and ready for the birth experience and the transition to motherhood.

  • Coping Techniques: Learn proven techniques to manage pain and stay calm during labor from a highly experienced doula

  • Interventions and Their Uses: Get informed on medical interventions and when they may be necessary

  • Handling the Unexpected: Be ready for anything with strategies to adapt to the unknown from a doula with training in trauma

  • Preparing for Postpartum: A period of “Mothering the Mother” and learn what to expect after birth and how to care for yourself

  • Breastfeeding: Learn essential breastfeeding techniques for a successful start

    As a Palouse native and mom of two girls, Hailey is passionate about supporting families through one of life’s most transformative moments. With a background as a labor and delivery nurse, doula, and childbirth educator, she strives to equip families with tools they need to collaborate with their birth team, make informed choices, and navigate their birth experience with confidence. Hailey focuses on autonomy, evidence-based information, and coping strategies-ensuring that every family, no matter how they choose to birth, feels empowered and prepared. She finds deep fulfillment in guiding parents through education to help them feel secure and supported in their journey.

    Certified Postpartum Practitioner, Certified Lactation Educator, Postpartum Doula, Women’s Circle Facilitator

    Brittany is an INNATE Postpartum Care Practitioner, Certified Lactation Educator (CLE), Postpartum Doula, and Women's Circle Facilitator with years of experience in providing mother-centered, physiologic postpartum care. With a deep understanding of the transformative journey that motherhood is, she is dedicated to supporting women through the often-overlooked postpartum period, a time when care and nourishment are crucial for both mother and baby.

  • Ruth

    Certified Birth Doula, Childbirth Educator

    With years of experience as a birth doula on the Palouse, Ruth is deeply committed to providing compassionate support for individuals and their partners. Rooted in evidence and a deep understanding of the physiology of birth, Ruth specializes in helping families navigate and embrace the natural process of birth. 

    In this class, she will focus on comfort and coping techniques, with a particular emphasis on how partners can actively support and advocate during labor. Birth is a deeply collaborative process, and Ruth works to guide partners in becoming a unified team, encouraging open communication and practical strategies to navigate the challenges of labor together.

With a deep passion for helping individuals and families navigate their unique journeys, she specialize in working with those experiencing anxiety, depression, pasta trauma, or medically complex pregnancies.

    Understanding the importance of felling heard and supported, Lisa creates a nurturing space where clients feel truly listened to and empowered in their choices. By combining expertise with a compassionate approach, she ensures every family receives the guidance and care they need to move forward with confidence.
